Fairfax Lions Club

With a full house of Lions and family, the new Board of Directors was inducted at the dinner meeting on June 16, 2009. PDG Bill Smith was our MC and had encouraging words for every position. A nomination for Lion Jeff Root to fill the King Lion position was seconded and the vote was unanimous in favor of Jeff. Lion Gary Maxwell will retain his position as First Vice President for another year and we all pray for Patti’s full recovery. The Tail Twister, Lion Tom Edick, handed over his dress and high heeled shoes with a “passing of the torch” ceremonial feel. The new Tail Twister, Lion Scott Dulaney, turned his nose up at the ensemble saying he just “couldn’t wear those shoes this time of year.” The 2009-2010 BOD will have its first meeting on June 23, 2009.
