Lions Donate Children’s Braille Books

Lion Marilyn Tanner Presents Certificate to Alex Castillo of the  National Federation of the Blind

On June 20, Lion Marilyn Tanner – Fairfax Lions’ Chairperson for  “Lions Reading Action Program” presented 99 Braille books for this summer’s Braille Enrichment for Literary and Learning (BELL) camp for blind children.  The camp teaches kids ages 4 to 12 basic skills of independence, such as Braille, literacy, and exploration. Accepting the books was Alex Castillo of the National Federation of the Blind; Alex is a leader of the BELL program.
