At our Club dinner meeting on July 18, President Greg DeRosa opened a package mailed to our Post Office Box. It contained several pairs of eyeglasses, a very nice note from the donor, and a check for our charity programs.
We take all donated eyeglasses to the Northern Virginia Eyeglass Recycling Center, where they are cleaned, inspected and packaged for distribution around the world by medical mission teams. Lions give the gift of sight! If you would like to help process donated eyeglasses, contact Fairfax Lions Club.
