Each year, FX Lions assemble food “baskets” for local families that might not have a complete holiday meal. Lions bring ingredients, add a cash gift card for a meat, and put it all together with our partner, Main Street Child Development Center. The Center selects families, and arranges for the families to pickup the food baskets. This year Lions provided 30 Thanksgiving food baskets…it is a privilege to help serve our community!

As one example, we deliver Thanksgiving holiday meals for 30 families in the Fairfax Community on Monday, November 25 – this is only possible with the support of our generous customers!

Fairfax Lions screened the vision and hearing of 126 students (K, 3rd, 7th graders) at St Timothy School (Chantilly, VA) on November 14, 2024. We referred 6 students for follow-up care. This quick and effective screening process identifies youngsters who may have limited vision/hearing capability.

FX Lions held a trivia contest at their dinner meeting on Nov 5th, with prize money for the winner.
