Ms Margaret Anthony, of the Annandale Toastmasters Club, spoke at the August 17th meeting of Fairfax Lions Club. Toastmasters International teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs like Annandale Toastmasters Club.
Margaret challenged Lions to give a 1-2 minute impromptu talk on their favorite movie, vacation, TV show, country, or public figure. It was fun, and illustrated the importance of learning and practicing public speaking.
