Mitzi and Deanna manage City of Fairfax events, including the recent Independence Day parade and fireworks. On August 5th, they spoke to Fairfax Lions about the year-long planning process resulting in those successful events.

Each year, the Club President selects one Fairfax Lion for outstanding service – to be “Lion of the Year.” In Fairfax, volunteers of the year from all service clubs are recognized in a very nice ceremony hosted by the Inter-Service Club Council (ISCC). On August 6th, Volunteer of the Year Lion Joe Rovansek received a certificate as was congratulated by the City Mayor.

Michael and Courtney visited the Fairfax Lions dinner meeting on August 5th. Originally from Oklahoma, where family members had been Lions, they were interested in service opportunities in their new community of Fairfax. Welcome Courtney & Michael!
