Fairfax Lions had a successful fruit sale, Dec 15-17. We fulfilled our last order at noon, Saturday Dec 17. Every penny of the proceeds go to our charity programs which help many folks in the community.
We thank our many loyal and new customers for their support, even showing up on the miserable cold and wet day we experienced on Thursday, Dec 15.

Representatives of the Marine Corps Reserve “Toys for Tots” program visited Fairfax Lions Club on December 6, 2022. Toys for Tots began in 1947, and provides toys to deserving children across the US each holiday season. Over 627 million toys have been delivered to those children since 1947 – averaging over 8 million toys each year.
Gunnery Sergeant Simon Hebert and Hospital Corpsman Leonard Harding spoke to the Fairfax Lions and picked up toys donated by Lions Club members.
The Fairfax Lions also presented Toys for Tots a check for $500, and individual Lions made their own monetary donations.
Toys for Tots recognized Fairfax Lions Club with a certificate of appreciation.
Fairfax City Council Woman-elect Kate Doyle Feingold, whose dad served a full career in the Marine Corps (Kate also served in the Marine Corps) generously donated a bag of Toys for Tots.
Fairfax Lions Club raised funds for charity programs in the Fairfax community by selling fresh fruit from Florida, VA peanuts and Vermont maple syrup. Most sales were placed on-line, then picked up Nov 17-19 in the American Legion Post 177 parking lot.
We thank all our customers for supporting Lions programs by their purchases. Orders for the December fruit sale are in process. Order now at: https://fairfaxlions.square.site
